Trackpads are evil

Some nice proggies that solve some annoying problems, and a quick update on my lack of post-worthy news.

I’ve come across a very nice app called Synergy that allows me to use one keyboard and mouse between my desktop and PowerBook (when they are side-by-side). It works beautifully.

Furthermore, another nice app called SideTrack adds some very useful features to the trackpad (such as scrolling and tighter control over taps). These features should really have come standard. I’ve set it up so that a tap in the top left corner will act as a right-button click, solving the Control-key problem mentioned previously.

Other than playing around with the laptop and a bit of gaming and DVD watching, I’m not doing very much at the moment: not surprising given that I’m an unemployed bum. And loving it. Except for the lack of funds… but that currently seems to be a common problem, even for those who have a job.
