Yet Another Bloody Random Update

One of these days I’ll change to a full-text feed, since Wil Wheaton has.

I just recieved an email that performs the most welcome function of informing me that I have an extra week for my thesis. It is now due by Friday, 5th November. Anyone who knows me well (there may be one or two of you) knows that I have a habit of leaving things to the very last moment possible, and my honours project is no exception. The same email also reminded me that I have to give a presentation. Damn, I’m sick of presentations.

Tomorrow night will hopefully see the integration of the result of my honours project, sv3d, with the impressive framework developed by Mick (NOVA) that provides an interface to distributed simulations specifically for visualisation tools. Here’s hoping there’ll be some screenshots to post on Sunday.

I have so many DVDs to watch once everything’s finished.

I just got the Dresden Dolls CD today, and it is really quite good. Especially good if you’re into German cabaret like me (through no fault of my own).

It looks like I’ll have to put off the PowerBook for a while longer, unfortunately, because something else has come up that will have to draw from those funds. I was about three quarters of the way there, too.

    I’m amused by the wil wheaton reference two-fold. Firstly because someone else I know actually reads his stuff, and secondly because I can remember when it happened.

    And thesis extensions are cool.

    Wow, what a lovely looking shoe box with a thing in the corner and lots of text all merged together above it. I know that the next time I think to myself,

    ‘I really need a shallow box with a thing in the corner and lots of overlaying text above it’
