Things and stuff

Some things that have happened in the past week or so. Nothing exiting.

Our doorbell doesn’t work, so I missed the courier delivering some new DVDs this morning (if you’re interested, Edward Scissorhands, Revenge of the Nerds, Mallrats, Clerks and Stargate SG-1 season 3).

DVDs will make me a poor(er) man.

A game of SimCity 4 that I had been building for about four hours today was lost when SC4 crashed.

I spent all of today doing nothing that I need to do, though I planned to complete at least one of the tasks I have.

My Internet Design assignment writeup was crap because it was making by brain die, it was two days late, and I gave up.

My two exams are both in the second week.

I feel completely exhausted even though I haven’t done anything.

I finally got a credit card today. I’m not sure if this is a good thing.

I have an unhealthy fear of making telephone calls. I hate telephones. I need a new mobile.

I am currently watching 2004 Fashion Model Awards on Fashion TV.

This is a test. Please disregard this message. It is not important.

This is a further test, though it is really unnecessary.

Well, at least you can afford to buy DVDs at the moment. I presume Sim City 4000 is worth playing then?

  5. James Says:

Yes, SC4k is worth playing, especially with the Rush Hour addon. It’s like SC3k should have been plus more.

Well, the last Simcity I played was 2000, and to me the original game seemed better, but that was just my opinion.

I shall investigate when I next have the opportunity.

Whilst I certainly enjoyed the original SimCity for many, many (many) hours, and still own my copy of the enhanced “multimedia” version from 1994 (as well as numerous other versions), SimCity 2000 was such a huge development on the idea with so much depth added (and not just the mountains :) ).

Unfortunately, despite great anticipation, SimCity 3000 added absolutely nothing except new graphics. In fact, if I recall correctly, a number of things were removed.

SimCity 4 (and I should remember that they have dropped the silly ‘000 bit) has a lot of new things added that improve the longevity and enjoyability. It’s worth a look.
