3D is fun

See a render of my first (almost) finished 3D model!

Have a look at my first (almost) finished 3D model of one of my speakers. There are still some texturing problems to fix (look above the headphone socket) and some more geometry to add (such as the headphone socket), but I’m quite happy otherwise. It isn’t 100% accurate to the actual object (e.g. the grille is metal, not material), but I have no problem with a bit of artistic license. Two more to go for my 3D modelling assignment…

Looks good mate, maybe you can do a 3D model of Soporific Frog (see littlebluefrog.com for the 2D him). He oozes personality :D

Heh, thanks. I think I might stick with things that are generally square shaped for now! :)

Quite a nice model indeed, I presume blender was the poison of choice or was it 3D Studio Min?

Either way, I didn’t even need to be told it was a speaker. Look forwards to seeing other two models.
