More changes are needed, methinks
Potentially a new direction in the design of this page. New way to improve IE’s support for alpha-PNGs.
I’m getting closer and closer to removing the drop down menus. I think they just look ugly, and their functionality is flawed. I’m also beginning to think that I need more graphics, since the fairly plain look of everything below the header is boring.
I came across a new way to improve IE’s support of alpha-PNGs that involves editing the PNG at a low level, and modifying its bKGD attribute to a different colour. This is similar to the “matte” colour option for GIFs, I guess. It works as it should, making IE replace its default grey-blue colour with the one of your choice. This doesn’t help for the title image of this site, since behind it is an image, so I’ll leave in the ugly IE-specific hack for now.
