Assignments?

Thank goodness that’s over… don’t you hate assignments? Very busy, no time for web-coding. Welcome back ALA.

Well, I’ve just completed a rather harrowing assignment for uni. Not that it was particularly difficult; frustrating, yes, but not difficult. The thing was, they gave a prewritten framework on which to base our programs. I should have known from an earlier assignment in another unit that frameworks are never good to start on, especially when one has one’s own preferred style. So, after about two days solid work extending this framework, trying desperately to cope with tonnes of segmentation faults and the like, I gave up and started from scratch. Within 24 hours, I have a fully complete and relatively stable program, that is a great deal more clean than what I had before. Reminder to self: don”t take prewritten frameworks… ignore them.

As for this site, well, I have too much to do these next two weeks, and then I have exams, and then I have about two months of (hopefully) solid work on my honours project. Maybe I’ll find some time in there to write up the HistoryWiki. I usually do.

YAY!!! ALA is back! And about time, too. And see what delights they have already!

Further reminder to self: fix the url tag problem (something to do with quotes, I think).

edit: OK, so it was my stupidity that caused the problem… bbcode doesn't want quotes around the url. Crisis over.
